Your Imagination Every Day
The first thing that comes to mind when we think of imagination is its entertainment value. I think of things like daydreaming and fictional stories. It’s something that we separate from our daily work lives and tasks we have to do where we need complete focus. In other words, imagining is thought of more as a pastime and without practical value.
The truth is that imagination isn’t something that belongs to a chosen few daydreamers and writers. All of us have access to this powerful tool. It can be used in just about every situation and is used to solve just about every problem. The benefits are endless and when you start to use your imagination when facing even monotonous citations, life becomes magical.
Using You Imagination Every Day
Want a quick example of how to use your imagination? Think about when you’re planning a date. Are you going to suggest a meal? Again?? What about a trip to an observatory to do some star gazing? What’s more likely to impress your date?
Are you saying you have never even considered adding interesting ingredients to your hamburger? The popular cartoon, Bob’s Burgers, is known for having a different burger special listed on the chalkboard behind the counter. People on social media try and figure it out faster than their friends. The main character – Bob – is known for being an average dad with a whacky imagination. If he can expand his thinking, you can too.
Don’t save your imagination for special occasions. Use it every day. What if, instead of watching more TV after dinner, you engaged in a friendly game of laser tag or put together a paint by numbers and wine afternoon with your friends and neighbors?
There are cheap ways to clear the cobwebs collecting on your imagination. Free music software and free graphics programs available online allow anyone to realize their artistic dreams. Not into computers? You can always doodle. Some of the best ideas that have come into this world started as scribbles on a napkin.
You can always paint rocks. Take a walk to clear your mind, find smooth rock and let your imagination dictate what goes on your new canvas.

Stretching your imagination can be an energy boost, too. It gets you excited about mundane tasks. It keeps you motivated.

Using Your Imagination at Work
It’s no secret that creative use of our imaginations at work can lead to game changing breakthroughs. Work the mundane tasks with your imagination on high alert and you may find solutions to problems that can benefit the entire company. Even discovering easier ways to do the smallest things can save people time, money and aggravation. When you save your co-workers from feeling aggravated, you become a hero.
So don’t think that you’re unimaginative. We all have imaginations. The trick is to learn how to use it every day. You have the power within yourself to create a magical life. It just takes a little practice.
